On behalf of our Clan Chief, Robin Neill Lochnell Malcolm, I would like to welcome you to the Clan MacCallum/Malcolm Society of North America Inc. website. It is with great honor that I have been selected to represent the Clan in North America. My Scottish heritage runs deep within our family and I am very proud to be able to share my heritage and traditions with all visitors to our site.

1. Invocation by Shirley McCallum
2. Roll Call – Each attendee stated name and location of residence
3. Reading of the Previous Minutes: Motion made to accept without reading as they have been posted on the website. Motion by Robert McCallum, Seconded by Wayne Malcolm. Passed without objection.
4. Secretary Treasurers Report – Neil McCallum
Treasurers Report: (as of 1 February 2024): Cash on hand: $12,240.88. This value is an increase for the Society over the previous year. Expenses last year basically equaled income.
Active members: 195. This is 10 less than at this time last year. There were no new members at Stone Mountain (Oct) or Central Florida HG (January).
Notifications with the send out to the AC seem to promote payment. Several convenors have “retired”, so we are losing presence at games. This will impact our membership in the future. Assistance needed in New England, Mid Atlantic, & Arizona.
Annual Dues: $25.00. Remains unchanged from previous years.
Scholarship: Balance on hand: $949.35. No scholarships are to be awarded this year as Charlie Kelm was not able to promote the Scholarship in Florida this year. VP Mike McCollum to reactivate the program with Charlie Kehm.
DNA project account. Total $155.77
5. Committee Reports –
Clan Store (Lands’ End) https://business.landsend.com/store/clanmaccallummalcolm/ Society members have enjoyed quality products from Lands’ End, Land’s End provides wonderful products with our embroidered crest. Our Society does not make any money from the sales. The Society does not receive proceeds from this relationship.
Family History/Genealogy: Inquiries still coming in, not as many as in past years. Most inquiries come through our website. Neil forwards many to Pete McCollum who maintains access to the Database. Several of our new members this year have come through this program.
DNA Project: Our Project is through Family Tree DNA (311 total members). The most conclusive ancestry test (Male) is the Y Test (196 Members). Maternal Ancestor Information (140 total members), Family Finder tracks both sides of the family (101 total members). Our project has teamed with the McMillian Society to collaborate on the results as it appears our clans are connected in the distant past! Robert McMillian has interpreted the results back about 700 years. Much more research to be done.
Website: No changes made this year. Our website continues to draw inquiries from prospective members.
6. Unfinished Business – None
7. New Business – Tara – Plea for new members and those interested in leadership positions. We do have a new “Social Media Coordinator”. Lots of opportunities.
8. Meeting adjourned at 2:15 PM EST

c. to provide for the public a forum for discussion groups, lectures, musical programs, entertainment and instruction on our Scottish Cultural Heritage;
d. to cooperate with other Scottish Clan and Celtic organizations that have like interests;
e. to disseminate information of an advisory and educational nature which will be of value to its members and the general public.
